What you can expect

Our small group will meet at the Thalkirchen/Zoo U-Bahn station and walk together for about 20 minutes along the Isar River to my favourite beer garden: the idyllic Flaucher Biergarten.

This is where mostly locals from the Harlaching and Sendling districts come to meet up with one another. Along the way, you'll learn all about Munich's beer garden culture: snacks, rules, the regulars' table, traditions, beer steins, and the little social codes known only to true Munich locals.
In the beer garden, under the shade of large, old trees, we will soak up the atmosphere, sample local specialities, and relax as we delve into the heart of the Bavarian way of life. With a bit of luck, on nice days, a brass band will provide the musical accompaniment.

This small tour takes place daily at 11:00 AM, weather permitting, when the beer garden is open, and lasts approximately 2 hours.
