What you can expect

Embark on a thrilling whitewater rafting adventure on the Six Mile River in Alaska. Paddle through 3 dramatic canyons, pass forests filled with black bears and wild deer.

Meet your guide at the Chugach Outdoor Centre and get kitted out with all the necessary gear, including a dry suit, helmet, river shoes, and a life jacket. After a safety briefing, set off on your rafting adventure.

Paddle through the Six Mile River, which is known for its challenging Class IV and V rapids. Thunder over waterfalls, paddle through three dramatic canyons, and choose either a morning or afternoon departure time on this rafting adventure.

No previous rafting experience is required, however, participants must be competent swimmers with a moderate level of fitness. After your adventure, enjoy a cup of coffee, hot chocolate, or tea, and take a dip in the hot tub.
