Start the day at 7:30 AM with a pickup from your hotel in District 1 of Ho Chi Minh City and transfer to Tan Cang pier by the Saigon River where other guests will join at the meeting point. Get on board the tour’s comfortable minivan for an 8 AM departure to the Can Gio Biosphere Reserve by luxury speedboat.

Enjoy a light breakfast on board including cake from the famous Pat' a Chou bakery, mineral water, and seasonal fruits. Take in the fresh air and get to know the daily life of local citizens living along the river banks. Upon arrival at the biosphere reserve, learn about the flora typical of mangrove forests and the storey about this area from the wartime when it was almost destroyed, to nowadays where it is listed as a biosphere reserve by UNESCO.

Next, get on a small wooden boat for a rowing experience in the swamps with the mangroves. Observe the Giant Bat Lagoon and hear the bat sounds coming from the top of the trees. You’ll arrive at the centre of Vam Sat Eco Park to observe an immense panorama of mangrove forests.

Visit the bird conservation are and, if you’re lucky, see the nesting season from May to October. Visit the crocodile farm to learn about the process of hatching crocodiles, and observe and feed wild monkeys including the long-tailed monkey.

Next, walk the road through the mangroves and challenge yourself with a suspension bridge — a great highlight for children — before having lunch at Vam Sat Restaurant and relaxing in a coconut tree hut. Your tour finishes at 12:45 PM when you begin the return journey to the starting point of your tour with arrival around 2 PM.
