The Peace Cenotaph, a curved stone structure, marks our next stop. Inside lies the names of all the atomic bomb victims, and its eternal flame serves as a promise that it will remain lit until the last nuclear weapon is eliminated from the earth—a powerful reminder of Hiroshima’s enduring hope for peace.
We will then visit the Hiroshima National Peace Memorial Hall for the Atomic Bomb Victims. This hall houses an extensive archive and serves as a memorial to those who lost their lives, offering invaluable insights into their stories and experiences prior to the bombing.
Next, at the Hiroshima Peace Park Rest House, we’ll learn about the incredible survival of a resident who was just 170 metres from the hypocenter during the explosion. Their storey of resilience highlights the human capacity to endure and rebuild in the face of unimaginable adversity.
As we continue our journey, we’ll stop by the Children’s Monument, dedicated to Sadako Sasaki and other children affected by the atomic bomb. This heartfelt tribute features colourful paper cranes, symbolising peace and the hope for a world free of nuclear weapons.
We will also visit the Korean Monument, which honours the memory of Korean victims of the bombing, recognizing their suffering and contribution to the shared narrative of Hiroshima and emphasising the necessity of peace and reconciliation.

As we approach the iconic Atomic Bomb Dome, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, you'll learn about its survival against incredible odds and the haunting reminder it provides of the devastation wrought by war. It stands as a symbol of resilience and a commitment to advocacy for peace.
