Your day begins with a coastal drive through the St. George Gorge, heading towards the peaceful resort town of Elounda. Around 10:00 AM, board a boat and cruise to Kolokytha Bay, a secluded spot perfect for a refreshing swim. While anchored, enjoy a freshly prepared BBQ lunch featuring pork steak, Greek salad, bread, feta, and seasonal fruit.
At 12:45 PM, sail across Mirabello Bay to the historic island of Spinalonga. A professional guide will lead you through its layered past—from ancient Greek defences and Venetian fortifications to Ottoman settlements and its role as a leper colony. Explore the ruins and take in panoramic views before departing around 2:45 PM.
Return to Elounda by bus and stop for a short olive oil tasting, where you’ll sample local varieties and learn about Crete’s agricultural heritage. Then continue to Agios Nikolaos, the capital of Lassithi, arriving around 3:45 PM. Relax by the famous Lake Voulismeni, browse local shops, or enjoy a coffee with a view.
After a day of exploration and relaxation, return to your hotel with unforgettable memories of Crete’s coastal charm.
