What you can expect

Find out about the fascinating processes that go into tea production on a guided visit to the Dambatenne Tea Factory. Ride through the picturesque countryside in a tuk tuk along the way and learn how to cook spicy local cuisine afterwards.

Get picked up at your hotel in a tuk tuk and ride out to the tea plantation. Meet the workers harvesting the tea and pick some yourself as you take in panoramic views of the surrounding countryside.
Learn about the entire process of tea production on your guided tour, from the collection of the tea leaves to packaging the final product and everything in between. Sample some world-famous teas at the end of your tour.

Afterwards, go to a local home for your cooking class. Learn how to prepare five Sri Lankan dishes with fresh local ingredients. Cook and enjoy the meal with your tour group.
