What you can expect

  • Experience the magic of the Arctic night sky on a Northern Lights tour starting from Hammerfest. Your guide will take you to the best locations in the region, where the landscape opens towards the vast Finnmark sky.

As you settle into the calm of the evening, enjoy a hot drink and a traditional Scandinavian pastry while you wait for the Northern Lights to appear. Although this natural phenomenon cannot be guaranteed — the aurora has a mind of its own — the quiet beauty of the Arctic night always offers a memorable experience.

Your knowledgeable guide will share insights into the Northern Lights, the night sky, and the Arctic environment, making the experience enriching even on nights when the aurora decides to stay hidden.

To ensure you take home a lasting memory, your guide will capture two professional photos of you with the Northern Lights or the serene night scenery of Finnmark. Of course, we will be there to assist you with taking your own pictures of the auroras.

Arctic nights are enjoyed best with warm clothing, which will greatly help your patience while waiting for the Northern Lights to appear.
