What you can expect

Cruise around the narrow streets of Osaka to uncover its hip districts, historic architecture, and sprawling parks. On this 2-wheeled adventure, admire the soaring towers of Osaka Castle, check out neo-Renaissance architecture in Nakanoshima Park, and follow the bends of the Okawa River.

Join your guide at Fukushima station, where you can get fitted for a bike and helmet before putting your feet to the pedals and coasting out into the city. Point your handlebars towards Nakanoshima Park, the first park built in Osaka just before the turn of the 20th century. Check out the European architectural influences at Osaka Central Public Hall and look for colourful blossoms in the rose garden if you're visiting in spring.

Continue under the riverfront cherry trees in Sakuranomiya, see where coins are made at the Japan Mint, and look 16th-century features of Osaka Castle. At Utsubo Park, hear about the US Army airfield that was turned into this sprawling green space. Wrap up your ride making mental notes of trendy coffee shops and cafes worth visiting as you pass through the district of Nishi-ku
