    90 minute Walking Tour includes:

    At historic locations in the southern end of the village, your guide will explain the Germanic architecture. The immigrants’ flight from Prussia in 1838 was perilous and full of drama. You’ll hear stories about these settlers. You’ll also hear about the Pioneer Women’s Walk which took place in the dead of night. Information and fun facts you won’t know without joining our local guides who live, love and work right here in Hahndorf.

    What’s to be found under the ‘ol pear tree? It’s not what you expect.

    Visit the old mortuary, Germanic architecture, St Paul’s Lutheran Church and other points of interest and intrigue.

    You’ll also be visited by several heroes of the village using modern technology.

    Please dress according to the weather and wear sensible shoes.
