Did you know that Antequera is the European city with the most churches per inhabitant? During our tour, we'll get to know many of these monumental buildings with so much heritage.
The experience kicks off in Plaza de San Sebastián, one of Antequera's historic hearts, where you'll enter the Collegiate Church of San Sebastián to discover its architecture and its role in the city. From there, we'll walk to the Coso Viejo, surrounded by noble buildings such as the Palacio de Nájera, now the City Museum, which we'll enter to see its interior and the collections that explain Antequera's history. In this square, you'll also see the Convent of the Incarnation and the Convent of Santa Catalina de Siena, understanding the importance of convent life.
The tour continues to the Convent and Church of Las Descalzas, a space of great artistic value, and then to the Church and Convent of La Victoria, one of the most outstanding monumental complexes. We'll stroll through the lively Plaza de Abastos, where we'll visit the Church of San Francisco, the Monastery of San Zoilo, and Santa Clara. We'll finish in Plaza de Santiago, admiring the Church of Santa Eufemia, the Church of Santiago, and the Convent of Belén, rounding off a full tour of the historical and artistic wealth of Antequera's churches.
