Come and immerse yourself with me in the spirit of Leonardo da Vinci in the garden of the castle where he died over 500 years ago. We'll wander through this unique park to discover everything that filled his mind. You'll understand who he was, whether you're 7 or 97!
We'll talk about the history of a castle next to that of the kings of France, which became the home of one of the greatest painters in the world.
But Leonardo da Vinci didn't just paint, he invented in many fields, so don't worry if you're not a fan of art history, you'll find something to enjoy.
We'll have a fun chat about everything that inspired this man throughout his life, so if you're into painting, anatomy, architecture, civil engineering, or even military stuff, you'll find something for you!
Heads up: this tour is interactive, so you'll need to join in by answering my questions and trying to figure out how the machines work.
In this private castle today, you'll find the inventions imagined by Leonardo Da Vinci built to full size, which allows us to understand more simply what it must have looked like. And for sure, they're interactive and you can use them. And yes, for once, it's completely allowed, even recommended, to touch the objects on display in the gardens!
I'll meet you in front of the castle for a 90-minute guided tour through the castle grounds. The tour will end in the park, which will give you time to visit the interior of Clos Lucé afterwards.
For a more comfortable visit, I use a transmitter and headphone system for groups of more than 2 people. This will make the visit and understanding even better.
A little extra: If you like the city of Amboise, don't hesitate to complete your visit with that of the royal château of Amboise, which I also offer. Add this visit in the other half of your day because this other castle is just a stone's throw away and has a chapel in which you can find the tomb of Leonardo da Vinci today.
