During the excursion, you'll walk among Scots pines, yews, hollies, and oaks, and you'll get to know the iconic Valsaín pine and the forest's inhabitants.
You'll cross small waterfalls and crystal-clear streams, while learning about the biodiversity, trenches, shelters, and secrets that this protected area of the Sierra de Guadarrama holds.

It's a circular route: we'll start at the Royal Sawmill of Valsaín, passing through iconic spots like Cerro del Puerco, Fuente del Ratón, and the National Environmental Education Centre, all while enjoying unique views of the entire mountain range.

With 350 m of elevation gain and a 10 km route, it's an easy-medium level hike (for people used to mountain walking) and lasts about 5 hours, including stops to rest and eat.
