What you can expect
Explore Hong Kong's neighbouring cities of Shenzhen, Shekou and Guangzhou on this full-day tour. Encounter China's giant panda up close, discover the ancient Qin dynasty's terracotta warriors, and visit popular temples, memorials, and landmarks in Guangzhou.
After pick-up in the morning from your hotel, arrive at Hong Kong–Macau Ferry Terminal for a 50-minute catamaran cruise to mainland China. As you cruise, breathe in the refreshing sea air and take in the picturesque ocean views.
Upon arrival at Shekou port, make your way to Shenzhen Zoo by coach. Take a can't-miss opportunity to get up-close and personal with China's national treasure, the giant panda.
Next, see a display of life-size terracotta figures and horses that were unearthed in Xi'an. At this exhibition learn the fascinating history behind the Terracotta Army.
Continue on to Guangzhou and break for a delicious local lunch before your sightseeing tour of China's third-largest city. Visit the 6 Banyan Tree Temple, an ancient Buddhist site built in 537 AD during the Liang dynasty. Then stop by the Memorial Hall of Dr Sun Yat-sen, the first president and founding father of the Republic of China.
Later in the afternoon, transfer to the Guangzhou train station, where you board the express train back to Hong Kong.
