Meet your guide and set off on a walking tour of Gothenburg’s craft beer scene. Discover hidden beer bars, rotating taps, small Swedish breweries, and creative areas that have become central to the city’s modern identity.

Led by an experienced local guide, explore some of Gothenburg’s most characterful areas while hearing stories about the city’s maritime past, dockyard culture, and the rise of the Swedish craft beer movement.

Along the route, experience a side of Gothenburg that many visitors never discover on their own — from historic working-class streets and independent cafés to lively local gathering spots and creative urban spaces.

Stop at 3 carefully selected insider-style beer stops, each chosen for authenticity, atmosphere, and strong connections to Gothenburg’s local beer community. Every venue has its own distinct character, featuring rotating taps focused on independent breweries, seasonal releases, and fresh local beer culture.

Enjoy guided beer tastings at all three stops, with each venue also including either thoughtfully paired light food tastings or high-quality bar snacks carefully selected to complement the beers being served. Depending on availability, tastings may include Swedish pale ales, hazy IPAs, crisp pilsners, darker porters, or limited small-batch experimental brews from respected local and Scandinavian breweries.

Between venues, explore authentic areas shaped by Gothenburg’s connection to the sea, trade, and working-class history. Hear stories about the city’s changing social culture, local brewing traditions, and how former industrial areas evolved into some of Sweden’s most creative food and drink districts.
