Learn about the temple’s history, including its destruction by the Bahmani Sultan and its restoration by the Vijayanagara Kings.

Next, drive to Tamdi Surla to reach the ancient Mahadev Temple. Built in the 12th century, this stone temple showcases the Hemad-panti style of architecture. Admire the intricate reliefs of Vishnu, Brahma, Shiva, Parvati, and other gods.

Afterwards, enjoy a delicious lunch before heading to the Mangeshi Temple. Discover how the deity was moved to its present location in 1565 after the Portuguese started destroying Hindu temples in the region.
