Giant's Causeway Full-Day Tour

by McComb's Coach Travel Duration 10h 15m Free cancellation available No booking or credit card fees
per adult Price is £25

Ride along the stunning coast of Northern Ireland on a comfortable coach bus as you head towards the Giant’s Causeway, a spectacular geological site on the edge of the sea. Along the way, stop at the mediaeval Carrickfergus Castle, trek across the Carrick-a-Rede Rope Bridge, and enjoy a tasty lunch.

Your journey begins in central Belfast, where you meet your guide and hop on a comfortable tour bus. Drive along the Causeway Coastal Route, renowned for its scenic views of rocky cliffs along the coast. Your first stop is at Carrickfergus Castle, a mediaeval fortification that sits on the edge of the town’s harbour. If you’re feeling brave, take the Carrick-a-Rede Rope Bridge, which stretches from the mainland to a small island in the sea.

Take a break from sightseeing as you enjoy a relaxing lunch in the Village of Ballintoy before reboarding your tour bus and heading to the Giant’s Causeway. When you arrive, you’re sure to be stunned by the sight of over 40,000 interlocking basalt columns, caused by an ancient volcanic eruption on the ocean’s shore. Climb over the rocks, and snap fantastic photographs of the otherworldly landscape as your guide explains how the area has been shaped over the centuries.

A long but very enjoyable day out. The tour operator, McComb’s, had everything planned and timed extremely accurately but we didn’t feel hurried to get back to the coach. Our driver, Patrick, was very informative and entertaining.
