What you can expect
The best place to go if you're short on time but yet want to make the most of it is Poon-Hill Trek. The hike begins at Tikhedhunga, Kaski offering once-in-a-lifetime experiences, a gorgeous setting, a lush forest, and a wealth of culture.
It is situated in the western region of Nepal, where Magar culture is widely practised, and the highest point of this magnificent walk is just 3,210 metres (10,531). However, it's also the greatest choice for those who want to hike at Nepal's higher altitudes because it helps you develop your endurance and stamina.
The breathtaking vista of the Western snow-capped Himalayas (Dhaulagiri 8,167 m, Machhapuchhre 6,993 m, and the enormous Annapurna Range) is guaranteed from the high Poonhill (3,210 m). Then, the next destination, Ghandruk village, whose happy atmosphere is sure to please you. It is one of the charming settlements with stone-paved roofs and alleyways. Award-winning hamlet and cultural resource, it welcomes a good number of tourists each and serves as a main base camp for the Annapurna Base Camp trip. The green woodland changes colour in April and May to tones of red, pink, and the national flower, the rhododendron. You will undoubtedly see a glimpse of a lifetime from beginning to conclusion, along with a wealth of experience.
