Discover the authentic taste of Liguria with a seated wine and food tasting experience in the historic bottega of BioTigullio5Terre, just steps from Genoa's iconic Columbus House. In this cosy and welcoming space, you’ll enjoy a guided journey through five unique Ligurian wines, each selected to represent the diversity and character of this rich territory.
You'll begin with two Vermentinos — one fruity and aromatic, the other drier and more mineral, both from the inland hills of Lunigiana. Next, savour a rare Vermentino Nero from Fosdinovo, a mixture of white wine from the famous Cinque Terre, and a smooth, fresh Ciliegiolo from the Gulf of Tigullio. Each wine is thoughtfully paired with traditional Genovese specialities: authentic basil pesto, crispy “focaccia secca”, and artisanal cheeses from the Val Graveglia valley.
The tasting is guided by the passionate team at BioTigullio5Terre, a local project born out of love for the land and its traditions. For over five years, the team has been dedicated to promoting Ligurian food, wine, and culture through authentic, small-group experiences. The session includes storytelling about the featured wineries, winemaking methods, and the cultural heritage of the region.
You’ll be seated inside a registered historic bottega, where every object tells a storey, and the atmosphere reflects the warmth of a true family-run initiative. In fact, BioTigullio5Terre was born from the dream of a family — Massimiliano, Barbara (class of 1972), Gaia (2004), and Emanuele (2008) — who chose to change their lives and settle in a semi-abandoned village in the mountains behind Tigullio, in the heart of Val Graveglia. Each of them plays a key role in the project, which also includes Tigullio Trekking, offering nature-based experiences in the same region.
Whether you’re a wine lover, a curious traveller, or someone looking for a genuine local encounter, this experience offers a flavourful, personal, and intimate look into the true soul of Liguria.
