What you can expect

  • Begin your private early morning tour at 6:00 AM, or sunset (evening) tour at 5:30 PM allowing you to explore Fushimi Inari Taisha when the pathways are quiet, the air is cool, and the famous torii gates are almost empty.

Unlike daytime visits filled with crowds, this experience focuses on atmosphere, storytelling, and slow exploration. Your local guide, Marielle, will lead you beyond the main paths, sharing cultural insights about Shinto beliefs, fox messengers (kitsune), and the meaning of wishes and offerings at the shrine.

As you climb the mountain, experience shifting scenery—from silent red torii tunnels to forest paths and open viewpoints overlooking Kyoto. At the top, enjoy a peaceful moment at the Yotsutsuji viewpoint, where the city slowly lights up beneath you as the sun rises or when the sky reaches its golden hour.

This is not just a sightseeing tour. It is a quiet, meditative experience designed to show you a side of Kyoto most visitors never see.
