We will pick you up at your hotel in Arequipa between 6:00 a.m. and 6:30 a.m. to begin our journey to the Salinas Lagoon, located on the border of the Salinas and Aguada Blanca National Reserves.
On the way, we will stop in Chiguat, a picturesque village in the region, where we will enjoy a continental breakfast with juice, yerba mate or coffee, cereal and toast.
Next, we will go into nature to explore the flora and fauna of the area around the Salinas Lagoon in the Arequipa region.
Along the way, we will be able to appreciate the Andean forests, formed by small trees and bushes, known in the area as queñuales.
Finally, we will arrive at the Salinas Lagoon. If it is dry, it will welcome us with its characteristic white colour. If there is water, we can approach the shore to observe the large amounts of accumulated salt and explore the surroundings of the lagoon, the volcano of Lausana and some thermal baths.
At the end of the hike, you will have free time for lunch before returning to Arequipa. We will take you back to your hotel around 4:30 pm.
