What you can expect

  • Start your day early with a Mount Batur sunrise adventure from Gianyar. Choose between meeting directly at the designated Jeep basecamp or enjoying convenient hotel pickup and drop-off from eligible areas in Ubud.

    After meeting your local Jeep driver, join a shared 4x4 Jeep and begin your journey through the volcanic landscape before sunrise. Travel across the rugged terrain towards a scenic viewpoint and watch the first light appear over Mount Batur, Lake Batur, and the surrounding mountains.

    Take time to enjoy the peaceful morning scenery and capture photos before continuing through the volcanic landscape.

    Next, explore the Black Lava fields, formed by historic volcanic activity around Mount Batur. Ride through the dramatic terrain and enjoy views of the surrounding volcanic landscape.

    If you select the hot spring option, continue to a natural hot spring after the Jeep experience. Relax in the warm water and enjoy the peaceful surroundings before starting your return journey.

    As this is a shared Jeep experience, you will travel together with other participants in the same vehicle. The group may include travellers from different accommodation and locations.

    Depending on your selected option, finish your experience at the Jeep basecamp or return to your accommodation in Ubud.
