What you can expect

Depart Sorrento and journey by air-conditioned bus to the legendary archaeological site of Pompeii. Follow your guide along paths once walked by everyday citizens of the Roman Empire and encounter the remains of villas, temples, the amphitheatre and more.

Learn about the former flourishing commercial town of the Roman Republic, and how it was reduced to rubble by a volcanic eruption in 79 AD. Get a unique look at life in the town over 2,000 years ago.

Then, go by bus to Mount Vesuvius to explore the volcano where it all started. Hike up the mountain from an altitude of 1,000 metres above sea level to the edge of the crater high above the Bay of Naples.
