Embark on a 3-day tour of the Uyuni Salt Flats and the Bolivian Altiplano. Visit the Laguna Blanca and Laguna Verde, the Salvador Dali Desert, the Polques Hot Springs, the Sol de Mañana Geysers, the Laguna Colorada, and the Valle de las Rocas.
Day 1:
Be picked up from your accommodation in San Pedro de Atacama and head to the Chile-Bolivia border. After passing through the border offices, change to a 4x4 vehicle and start your adventure. Visit the Laguna Blanca and Laguna Verde, located at the foot of the Licancabur Volcano. Continue to the Salvador Dali Desert and the Polques Hot Springs, where you can take a dip.
Next, visit the Sol de Mañana Geysers, which shoot water up to 90°C. Finally, visit the Laguna Colorada, a nesting site for over 30,000 flamingos. Spend the night in a hostel in Villamar.
Day 2:
Visit the Valle de las Rocas, the Mundial de Fútbol, the Italia Perdida, and the Camello, Sora, where you can observe local animals. Continue to the Laguna Misteriosa or Catal, where you can walk and observe the typical flora and fauna of the Bolivian Altiplano.
Next, visit the Laguna Vinto, the Mirador, and the Cañón de Anaconda. At the end of the day, transfer to the Salt Hotel in Colcha K, where you will spend the night.
Day 3:
Early in the morning, head to the Salar de Uyuni. Watch the sunrise over the white salt flats. Then, head to the Isla Incahuasi. Take a short walk around this limestone rock formation, which is home to giant cacti and offers a magnificent view of the salt flats.
Next, visit the Salt Museum and leave the salt flats through the town of Colchani. Stop to buy some crafts before passing by the train cemetery to take some photos. Finally, arrive in Uyuni, where your tour ends.
