We'll pick you up at the meeting point near city centre Piura at 9:00 a.m. and set off for the coastal town of Paita.
Upon arrival, we'll head to the port, where we'll board a traditional boat for 20 minutes to go in search of sea lions. Birds such as the black pilpilén, the brown pelican, and the blue-footed booby also live here.
And the best part? Along the way, we'll give you a taste of Peruvian chifles, fried plantain delicacies. Afterwards, we'll head to Yacila Beach, a half-kilometer stretch of fine sand where you'll have the opportunity to take a well-deserved dip.
We'll then travel to Colán to visit the church of San Lucas, a 16th-century basilica built on the ruins of a pre-Hispanic temple of capullanas. Did you know that it was the first chapel in the South Pacific?
At the end of the visit, you will have an hour of free time for lunch and then you can relax at the Colán beach resort, a beautiful beach with emerald waters surrounded by palm trees. Be careful! It is not difficult to see manta rays in this beautiful enclave.
Finally, we will start the journey back to Piura, where we will arrive at 5:20 p.m.
