In the most authentic heart of Sardinia, among wild mountains, timeless villages and ancient traditions, you will enjoy an immersive experience dedicated to discovering the Sardinian Blue Zone, one of the areas in the world with the highest concentration of centenarians. Accompanied by a Sardinian longevity expert, you will discover the scientific and cultural principles that make this area unique: nutrition, daily exercise, a sense of community, contact with nature, and slower, more authentic rhythms of life.
During the trip, you will stay in the historic old town of Nuoro, a city that is symbolic of Barbagia culture, and you will be guided through authentic experiences in close contact with the local communities. The days will begin with breakfasts prepared with local and seasonal produce and moments of well-being immersed in the untouched nature of the Blue Zone.
You will explore the most iconic landscapes of Barbagia through guided walks and light trekking along mountain trails, through forests and traditional villages, until you reach the spectacular views of the Gorropu Gorge, one of the most impressive canyons in Europe. You will experience movement according to the philosophy of Sardinian longevity: natural, daily, and deeply connected to the land.
The experience also includes an immersion in the gastronomic traditions of the Blue Zone. You will take part in a fresh pasta workshop with a 94-year-old local grandmother, a guardian of ancient knowledge handed down through generations, and you will take part in an experiential dinner inspired by the “Menu of the Centenarians”, based on the principles of traditional Sardinian cuisine.
You will also discover the cultural heritage of Sardinia through a visit to the museum dedicated to Grazia Deledda, a day with a local shepherd to learn about pastoral life and the traditions of Barbagia, and a guided visit to Orgosolo, famous for its murals and its strong cultural identity.
The journey will end with a special encounter with the Tenores, the stars of the ancient Sardinian male polyphonic singing recognised as intangible cultural heritage, to experience an authentic moment of connection with the island's deepest soul.
