Lucca to Pisa E-Bike Tour — from the city walls to the Leaning Tower
Start your ride in the heart of Lucca, one of Tuscany’s most charming walled cities, and end your journey in the world-famous Piazza dei Miracoli in Pisa. This self-guided e-bike adventure combines history, countryside landscapes, and easy cycling along riverside paths and quiet country roads — about 27 km of pure Tuscan beauty.
The tour begins at our rental point in Lucca, where we’ll welcome you for check-in and a bike setup and safety briefing. You’ll receive your premium e-bike, helmet, and instructions on how to use our Outdoora step-by-step navigation app — available in 5 languages. The app will guide you smoothly along the entire route, highlighting points of interest and scenic stops.
You’ll start with a short loop ride on top of Lucca’s ancient city walls, a UNESCO-listed masterpiece offering a 360° view over the city’s towers and gardens. From there, you’ll follow the Serchio River cycle path, a peaceful route that winds through the Tuscan countryside, passing vineyards, farmhouses, and small medieval villages.
The trail continues west towards Pisa, with the Leaning Tower gradually appearing on the horizon — your perfect reward after a pleasant and relaxing ride. Once in Piazza dei Miracoli, you can park your e-bike safely and take time to explore one of Italy’s most iconic landmarks, including the Cathedral, the Baptistery, and the famous Campanile.
If you wish, you can enjoy a light lunch or snack in one of the local cafés nearby before catching the train back to Lucca — just a 30-minute ride — to conclude your day of exploration.
