Kathmandu to Pokhara
Departure Time: Start early in the morning to evening any time we are ready to for your service.
Route: Kathmandu to Pokhara is approximately 200 kilometres (124 miles) and takes about 6-8 hours depending on road conditions.
Kathmandu to Thankot (10 km): Leave Kathmandu and head west towards Thankot. This is a relatively short distance but can take time due to traffic congestion within the city.
Thankot to Mugling (80 km): After crossing the Bagmati River, you'll start ascending into the hills. The road can be narrow and winding, so drive carefully. Mugling is a popular stop for lunch.
Mugling to Pokhara (110 km): Continue your journey towards Pokhara. The road conditions are generally better once you leave the hilly section. Enjoy scenic views of the Trishuli River and lush green landscapes.
Scenic Stops: Along the way, there are several scenic viewpoints and small towns where you can take short breaks. Some popular spots are Malekhu for fish, Bimal Nagar for views, and Kurintar for the Manakamana Cable Car.
Arrival in Pokhara: You will arrive in Pokhara in the late afternoon or early evening, depending on your departure time and stops along the way. Check into your chosen accommodation and relax.
