Whether you begin with a scenic morning flight from Kathmandu or start directly from the lakeside charm of Pokhara, this 7-day expedition offers a graceful and immersive Himalayan experience. The journey weaves through the stone-built heritage of Ghandruk Village, balancing spectacular 360-degree mountain vistas with lush rhododendron forests, serene river valleys, and the rejuvenating natural hot springs of Jhinu Danda.
Outline Itinerary:
Day 1: Pick up from your hotel in Kathmandu/Pokhara. (Max Altitude: 1,940 m)
(Travellers from Kathmandu take an early 30-minute flight to Pokhara.) Continue with a scenic drive to Syauli Bazaar, then trek to Ghandruk Village (4–5 km, 3–4 hours). Overnight in Ghandruk.
Day 2: Trek from Ghandruk Village to Chhomrong (8–10 km, 5–6 hours). (Max Altitude: 2,170 m)
Hike along scenic ridge lines with continuous Annapurna massif views. Overnight in Chhomrong, the gateway to the sanctuary.
Day 3: Trek from Chhomrong to Himalaya (8–10 km, 6–7 hours). (Max Altitude: 2,900 m)
Begin with a descent to Chhomrong Khola, followed by a climb to Sinuwa. The trail passes through dense bamboo and ancient rhododendron forests. Overnight in the tranquil settlement of Himalaya.
Day 4: Trek from Himalaya to ABC (8–10 km, 6–7 hours) via Deurali and MBC. (Max Altitude: 4,130 m)
Reach the natural glacial amphitheatre of Annapurna Base Camp, surrounded by towering 7,000–8,000-meter peaks.
Day 5: Trek from ABC to Bamboo (10–12 km, 5–6 hours). (Min Altitude: 2,310 m)
Start the day with a stunning sunrise over Annapurna, then descend through MBC and Deurali to lush Bamboo.
Day 6: Trek from Bamboo to Jhinu Danda (8–10 km, 5–6 hours). (Min Altitude: 1,780 m)
Retrace through bamboo forests to Sinuwa, ascend past Chhomrong, and gently descend to Jhinu Danda. Unwind in the natural riverside hot springs.
