What you can expect

On your 11 days Everest Basecamp Trek, you will be experiencing the Lukla Airport, also known as Tenzing-Hillary Airport, termed as one of the most challenging airports in the world. You will also be taken on a mesmerising hike to Kala Patthar (5545 m), a notable landmark located on the south ridge of Pumori in the Himalayas above Gorakshep. Kala Patthar is very popular with trekkers in the region of Mount Everest since it provides the most accessible closeup view of Everest. During your journey you will be experiencing many of the world’s highest suspension bridges, pass through Namche Bazaar, explore the ancient Tengboche Monastery and many more.

Outline Trip Itinerary :

Day 1 : Morning pick up from your hotel and transfer to airport and fly from Kathmandu to Lukla and trek to Phakding / Manjo (5-6 hours) (Max Altitude: 2800 m / 9187 ft)

Accommodation: Mountain Guest House

Day 2 : Trek from Phakding / Manjo to Namche Bazaar (3-4 hours), acclimatisation and exploration (Max Altitude: 3438 m / 11280 ft)

Accommodation: Mountain Guest House

Day 3 : Short hike to Hotel Everest View (3880 m) for acclimatisation and explore Namche Bazaar (Max Altitude: 3438 m / 11280 ft)

Day4: Trek from Namche Bazaar to Deboche (5-6 hours) (Max Altitude: 3820 m / 14305 ft)

Accommodation: Mountain Guest House

Day 5 : Trek from Deboche to Dingboche (4-5 hours) and acclimatise hike to Nakarsang Hill (Max Altitude: 5083 m / 16677 ft)

Day 6: Trek from Dingboche to Lobuche (5-6 hours) (Max Altitude: 4940 m / 16208 ft)

Day 7: Trek from Lobuche to GorakShep to Everest Base Camp and back to Gorakshep (7-8 hours) (Max Altitude: 5364m / 17599 ft)

Day 8 : Trek from GorakShep to Kala Patthar and back to Pangboche via Pheriche (6-7 hours) (Max Altitude: 5545 m / 18193 ft)

Day 9: Trek from Pangboche to Namche Bazaar (5-6 hours) (Min Altitude: 3438 m / 11280 ft)
