Day 1: Huaraz (3100m) - Caraz (2200m) - Cashapampa (2900m) - Llamacoral (3760m).
Departure from Huaraz heading northeast, towards the valley of Callejón de Huaylas. Along the way we will stop several times to enjoy the spectacular views of the Cordillera Blanca, including the highest peak in Peru, Huascarán (6768m). We will begin our hike from the town of Cashapampa.
Approximate time: 3 hours of transport, 5 hours of walking.
Day 2: Llamacoral (3760m) - Laguna Arhuaycocha (44 50m) - Taullipampa (4250m)
After breakfast, we will begin the hike through the valley of Santa Cruz, passing near the Jatuncocha lagoon and the Arhuaycocha lagoon (4450m). On the way we will be able to see many peaks, one of them being the Alpamayo, the most beautiful mountain in the world. We will descend to the Taullipampa campsite (4250m) where we will spend the night. Approximate time: 7-8 hours
Day 3: Taullipampa (4250 m) - Punta Unión Pass (4750 m) - Cachinapampa (3700 m)
After breakfast, we will begin the hike to the Punta Unión Pass (4750m), where we will have spectacular views of the numerous peaks that surround us. Then we will descend to the Cachinapampa campsite. Approximate time: 7 hours
Day 4: Cachinapampa (3700 m) - Vaquería (3800 m) - Huaraz (3100 m)
We will descend through the Huaripampa valley, passing through some picturesque villages and enjoying the Andean vegetation. Then we will ascend to Vaquería, where transport will be waiting for us to return to Huaraz. Approximate time: 3 hours trekking, 4 hours transport.
