Day 1: Hanoi - Ha Giang (Lunch / Dinner)
- Begin your northern Vietnam adventure with a scenic 5-hour drive from Hanoi. Watch the bustling urban life fade into tranquil countryside, with a brief stop en route for photos and a refreshing walk through lush fields.
- Arrive around 4 PM after enjoying a traditional lunch at a local eatery. Spend your afternoon exploring the peaceful Tay village, with emerald rice paddies and your local bungalow. Cool off in a nearby stream before settling in for a delicious local dinner.
Day 2: Ha Giang Loop in Dong Van Geopark (B/L/D)
- After breakfast, journey through winding mountain roads towards the Dong Van Karst Plateau Global Geopark. Stop at Quan Ba and Yen Minh to take in breathtaking landscapes before lunch in Yen Minh town.
- Stop on route with a 1.5-hour guided walk along hidden mountain trails that pass through isolated Hmong villages. Then, visit the historic Hmong King’s Palace nestled in the scenic Sa Phin Valley.
Day 3: Dong Van - Hike Ma Pi Leng Pass - Transfer to Cao Bang city (B/L/D)
- Begin your day with Dong Van Market—especially lively on Sundays with colourful Hmong cultural displays. Next, head to Ma Pi Leng Pass, one of Vietnam’s most stunning mountain routes.
- A scenic 2-hour hike awaits, weaving through Hmong villages, cornfields, and narrow trails perched above the breathtaking Nho Que River and Tu San Canyon. Then, continue your journey to Cao Bang, where new adventures await.
Day 4: Cao Bang city - Ban Gioc Waterfall - Nguom Ngao Cave (B/L/D)
- Travel to Ban Gioc, one of the world’s largest border waterfalls. Stop at Phuoc Sen Village to see the Nung people’s traditional knife-making. On arrival, enjoy a boat ride for close-up views of the falls.
- Afterwards, explore the mysterious Nguom Ngao (Tiger Cave) before heading to your bungalow in an Incense-making village of Nung minority.
Day 5: Cao Bang - Ba Be Lake - Cycling To Hua Ma Cave (B/L/D)
- Transfer to Ba Be Lake on a scenic 3-hour drive through five stunning mountain passes.
- In the afternoon, bike 8 km to Hua Ma Cave, a limestone wonder filled with striking stalactites and stalagmites. After a short hike to explore the cave, return to homestay.
Day 6: Ba Be Lake Boating Tour - Hanoi (B/L)
- After breakfast, have a peaceful 3-hour boat trip around Ba Be Lake. Cruise to Cam Village, where lush nature, riverside schools, and friendly Tay locals welcome you. Take a short walk to experience village life up close.
- Continue to Puong Cave, filled with dramatic limestone formations and thousands of bats. Ends the boat on the way and return Hanoi
