Yax-ha- is an archaeological site and an ancient ceremonial centre of the Mayan civilisation located in the northeast of Petén.
The Mayan name of the city is seen in its hieroglyphic emblem (which represents the head of a parrot) and is read as Yax (green), ha (water). The urban complex was occupied for 16 centuries 600 BC – 900 AD.

We leave every day from Flores, from the letter that says I Love Peten, then we continue for approximately 2 hours to reach the site.
Very important you have to bring something to eat or already have lunch.

The tour lasts approximately 3 hours of walking around the site, visiting very important squares, such as astronomical centers, causeways, ball courts, central acropolis, and temple 216 or temple of the red hands.
From where you will have an incredible view of the entire city but also watch the sunset.
After the tour we return to the vehicle and return to Flores.
