Experience the Wild: 4-Day Safari Adventure in Murchison Falls National Park
Embark on an unforgettable 4-day journey through Uganda’s largest and most spectacular national park. Witness the raw power of Murchison Falls, track the endangered white rhinos, cruise along the legendary Nile River, and come face-to-face with chimpanzees in the ancient Budongo Forest.
Day 1: Arrival – Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary & Murchison Falls
Your adventure begins with a pick-up from Entebbe International Airport or your hotel in Kampala. Travel north through Uganda’s scenic countryside, with a stop at Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary for a thrilling two-hour rhino tracking experience — a rare opportunity to observe these magnificent creatures on foot.
Continue your journey to Murchison Falls National Park, pausing at the top of the falls to witness the Nile River dramatically squeezing through a 7-meter gorge, thundering into the depths below. Arrive at your lodge by evening for check-in, dinner, and a tranquil night immersed in the wild.
Day 2: Wildlife Safari & Nile River Cruise
Begin your day early with a warm drink before heading out on a guided morning game drive across the northern savannah. Keep your camera ready for sightings of lions, leopards, giraffes, elephants, hyenas, and other iconic African wildlife.
After lunch, embark on a relaxing boat cruise along the Nile River, where you'll encounter pods of hippos, basking crocodiles, and an abundance of birdlife including the elusive shoebill stork. If you missed the top of the falls on Day 1, take a short drive to the viewpoint for spectacular photo opportunities. Return to the lodge in time for dinner and a restful overnight stay.
Day 3: Chimpanzee Trekking in Budongo Forest
Enjoy breakfast before setting out for chimpanzee trekking in Budongo Forest, one of East Africa’s oldest and most ecologically diverse rainforests. Following a short briefing, venture into the forest alongside expert trackers. While the trek is relatively easy, the experience is exhilarating — and the reward is spending up to an hour observing wild chimpanzees in their natural habitat.
Along the way, spot other forest dwellers like vervet and olive baboons, colourful birds, and towering mahogany trees. Return to your lodge in the afternoon for relaxation and enjoy the sunset over the River Nile.
Day 4: Final Game Drive & Return to Entebbe
After an early breakfast, check out and head out for one last game drive, giving you a final chance to spot any wildlife you may have missed. Then begin your return journey to Entebbe, a scenic drive of approximately 5–6 hours. You may stop for lunch en route (optional), arriving in time for your evening departure flight.
End your safari with memories of majestic wildlife, breathtaking landscapes, and the spirit of Uganda’s untamed beauty.
