DAY 01:
07:30am to 08:00am - Pick up from the meeting point.
08:00am - We begin our journey towards one of the deepest and most beautiful canyons in the world. Our point of operations will be the town of Chivay, which we will arrive in approximately 4 hours, counting all the tourist stops. As a first point, we will pass through the Salinas and Aguada Blanca National Reserve, where we will be able to appreciate the vicuñas that live in this area. Then, very close by, we will visit Patahuasi to drink the traditional coca tea, a traditional drink that is essential for altitude sickness. (mountain sickness). We will also make a short stop at the Toccra Bofedales, where we will observe a large number of Alpacas grazing freely in the area. Mandatory stop at the Mirador de los Volcanes, the highest point on the road that reaches 4,800 metres above sea level, from where we will appreciate a large part of the western mountain range, from this point it would only take 40 minutes to reach the town of Chivay .
12:30pm - We will arrive in Chivay to enjoy a delicious lunch (payment on behalf of the client). After lunch we will settle in our respective hotels. In the afternoon we can enjoy a relaxing bath in the Hot Springs (optional entrance paid at the client's expense) whose thermo-medicinal waters range between 35º C and 38º C in temperature in the pools.
For dinner (payment on behalf of the client) we can enjoy a folklore show with typical dances of the area.
Overnight in Chivay.
DAY 02:
Breakfast. After breakfast we will move to the Mirador de la Cruz del Cóndor, which is 30 minutes away, it is the observation point of the Colca Canyon and the spectacular flight of the Condor. At this point we will spend an average of 45 minutes to observe the beauty of the Colca Canyon.
On the way back we will stop at the viewpoints in the area from where we will observe the impressive Andenería del Valle and in the town of Maca, where we will see its church and optionally taste local drinks such as the Colca Sour, made with local products. zone.
12:00pm - Lunch in Chivay. (payment on behalf of the client)
01:00pm - We will return fully to the city of Arequipa. If on the first day of the trip we did not visit any point on the way to Chivay, on the way back we can make a stop to see all the tourist stops, depending on the time and the group.
1:30 p.m. We will board another transport with the assistance of our guide, since we do not return to Arequipa, but rather our trip ends in Puno. Our trip to Puno includes tourist transport with a professional guide and we have stops to see attractive points, and many protected natural areas of flora and fauna on the route between Colca and Puno.
07:30pm - We will arrive in the city of Puno. Disembarkation is at the only bus station that exists in Puno, which is 5 minutes by taxi from the centre of the city of Puno. (City of Lake Titicaca). Our service ends.
