What you can expect

  • Discover two of South Australia’s most popular destinations on a private full-day tour to McLaren Vale and the historic village of Hahndorf. Travel comfortably in a private vehicle with your own driver-guide and enjoy a flexible itinerary designed around your group’s interests.

Spend approximately 1–2 hours exploring Hahndorf, Australia’s oldest surviving German settlement. Take a leisurely walk through the village, browse local shops and galleries, and enjoy the charming German heritage and architecture.

Continue to McLaren Vale, where you will spend the majority of the day exploring the region’s renowned food and drink scene. Visit a winery or gin distillery of your choice for a tasting experience and learn about the local wines or spirits.

Enjoy lunch at a venue preferred by your group, with the opportunity to choose from the many restaurants, wineries and food venues available in the McLaren Vale region. Please make advance booking at the venue so that venue can easily accommodate the group for lunch on the day of the tour.

The remainder of the tour allows you to relax and enjoy McLaren Vale at your own pace, with time for additional tastings, scenic stops or further exploration depending on your preferences.

This private tour is ideal for couples, families, friends and small groups looking for a personalised South Australian experience without being restricted to a fixed group itinerary.
