What you can expect

Meeting Point: Plaza del Chorro de Quevedo
We begin our tour at Plaza del Chorro de Quevedo, considered the place where Bogotá was founded. Here you will discover the stories and legends surrounding the birth of the city, surrounded by urban art, colonial architecture and the bohemian atmosphere that characterises La Candelaria.
Stop 1: La Concordia Market Square – Exotic Flavours of Colombia
We will head to the traditional La Concordia Market Square, a space that fuses local gastronomy with cultural expressions. Here you will have the opportunity to taste a variety of exotic Colombian fruits, while learning about their origin, nutritional value and the importance of these flavours in the country's gastronomic culture.
Stop 2: Tour of La Candelaria
We will continue our walk through the picturesque cobblestone streets of La Candelaria, surrounded by colonial houses with wooden balconies, street art and cafes that tell stories. Every corner reveals aspects of Bogotá's cultural and literary identity.
Stop 3: Parque de los Periodistas
We will arrive at Parque de los Periodistas, a meeting point for critical thinking, surrounded by historic buildings and with a privileged view of the eastern hills. Here you will learn about the role this place has played in the intellectual and political life of the city.
Stop 4: Plaza Santander – Culture and Heritage
Our next stop will be Plaza Santander, in front of the Gold Museum and the Banco de la República. This space combines history and financial culture, and we will tell you how these institutions have influenced the economic and cultural development of the country.
Stop 5: El Bogotazo – History that Marked Colombia

We will visit the exact place where an event occurred that changed the course of Colombian history: the assassination of Jorge Eliécer Gaitán. You will learn how this event, known as El Bogotazo, triggered one of the most turbulent times in the modern history of Colombia.
Stop 6: Plaza de Bolívar – Colombia’s Political Heart
We arrive at the political and symbolic centre of Bogotá: Plaza de Bolívar. Surrounded by the National Capitol, the Palace of Justice, the Primada Cathedral and the Liévano Palace, we will explain how this space has witnessed key moments in the republican and contemporary history of the country.
Stop 7: Teatro Colón and Palacio de San Carlos
We will continue to the Teatro Colón, an architectural and cultural icon where the Peace Treaty was signed with the FARC guerrillas, marking a before and after on the road to national reconciliation. Nearby is the Palacio de San Carlos, the country’s first presidential headquarters, with stories that reveal the development of executive power in Colombia.
Final Stop:
We close our tour with a unique sensory experience: a cup of Colombian coffee prepared by a professional barista. You will learn about the preparation process, the unique characteristics of Colombian coffee and its importance in the national culture and economy.
