Activity itinerary

Loch Ness Region

  • 15m
From your place of stay in Inverness we will travel towards Loch Ness, with plenty of opportunities for photos at some of the most beautiful vantage points the loch has to offer. From there we move towards the famous Urquhart Castle and its visitor centre photo shoot only The castle is a truly romantic ruin, perched on a rocky outcrop overlooking the loch, and surrounded on all sides by waters over 600-feet deep, where the legendary Loch Ness Monster is said to make her home. and about its amazing history, before the tour choices up again, this time towards invermoriston 20 min drive

Invermoriston Falls

  • 30m
Invermoriston falls Invermoriston Falls (sometimes called River Moriston Falls) runs directly under the bridges. This is not a single waterfall, but a series of rapids that rush and flow along the rocky river. The Invermoriston Bridge opened in 1813, after 8 years in construction. The famous Scottish engineer, Thomas Telford, built it as part developments to the roads along the shores of Loch Ness. Improving the existing military road between Inverness and Fort Augustus. The design has two stone arches and makes use of a huge rocky outcrop in the middle of the river for strength. Today, the bridge is damaged and no longer in use. A new single-span bridge replaced it in 1933. However, you can still walk over the old bridge for great views both up and downstream. then on to fort augustus 20 min drive

Fort Augustus

  • 30m
In Fort Augustus, you can explore the Caledonian Canal locks, , or visit local attractions like the Clansman Centre. Other popular activities include walking the Great Glen Way, visiting viewpoints like Loch Ness View Point, and seeing the Fort Augustus War Memorial. then on to the commando monument 30 min drive

Commando Monument

  • 30m
The Commando Memorial, near Spean Bridge, commemorates WWII Commandos with a bronze sculpture of three commandos and a plaque. It is 17 feet tall. The Commando Memorial is a Category A listed monument in Lochaber, Scotland, dedicated to the men of the original British Commando Forces raised during World War II. Situated around a mile from Spean Bridge, it overlooks the training areas of the Commando Training Depot established in 1942 at Achnacarry Castle. then on to finnian bridge 35 min drive

Glenfinnan Viaduct

  • 1h
Even if you don’t know it from the films called harry potter, it’s still a stunning bridge in a stunning spot. It’s technically a “viaduct”, i.e. a bridge with many smaller spans. If you Google “Harry Potter bridge” it knows that you mean the Glenfinnan Viaduct, just north of the town of the same name, and about a half an hour west of Fort William. Conveniently for film fans (or bridge fans, I guess), the Glenfinnan Viaduct is easy to get to, just a few minutes walk from a car park. The Glenfinnan Viaduct is a railway viaduct on the West Highland Line at Glenfinnan, in the Lochaber district of north-western Scotland, built from 1897 to 1901. Located at the top of Loch Shiel in the West Scottish Highlands, the viaduct overlooks the Glenfinnan Monument and the waters of Loch Shiel. then on to fort william 20 min drive

Fort William

  • 1h
Nestled in the heart of Lochaber in Scotland’s West Highlands, Fort William is known as the Outdoor Capital of the UK. It’s a favourite base for short breaks or longer holidays, and the perfect starting point for exploring beaches, film locations, castles, distilleries, and sweeping Highland landscapes. Ben Nevis requires little introduction. With a wild heart, an adventurous spirit and a flair for drama, the legendary peak towers above glistening lochans and deep glacial valleys. In Scotland, you can't get any higher than this.

Ben Nevis requires little introduction. With a wild heart, an adventurous spirit and a flair for drama, the legendary peak towers above glistening lochans and deep glacial valleys. In Scotland, you can't get any higher than this. It is the highest mountain in Scotland, the United Kingdom, and the British Isles. Ben Nevis stands at the western end of the Grampian Mountains in the Highland region of Lochaber, close to the town of Fort William. Then we will return to Inverness. ONE HOUR 40 MINS DRIVE
