Get ready for an authentic Venetian experience with the Venice Bacaro Tour, a 2-hour journey to discover the flavours, aromas, and unique atmosphere of the city on the lagoon. The tour, led by a local guide speaking Italian, English, Spanish, and French, starts at either 5:00 pm or 6:00 pm (your choice), with participants meeting 15 minutes beforehand at the KFC Restaurant – Venezia Santa Lucia, located just a short walk from the train station.
From here, you will stroll through charming narrow streets and over picturesque little bridges to some of Venice's most authentic bacari, the traditional taverns frequented by Venetians. At each stop, you will be able to enjoy the famous “cicchetti,” small samples of local cuisine, accompanied by a glass of wine or a spritz, the true symbol of the Venetian aperitif. Your guide will share with you interesting facts, stories, and traditions related to the bacaro culture, allowing you to immerse yourself in the daily life and convivial spirit of the city.
Along the way, you will discover unique views and hidden spots far off the tourist trail, enjoying an authentic and relaxed atmosphere. The tour will end at 7:00 PM or 8:00 PM, depending on the tour start time, at Corte dell'Orso, in the heart of Venice, where you can choose to continue your evening among the illuminated “calle,” go shopping, or return to the train station at your leisure.
This is the perfect experience for anyone who wants to discover Venice through its flavours, its history, and its unmistakable spirit!
At the end of the tour, a return minicruise on board one of our wonderful boats is also included, which will take you back to the Santa Lucia train station area.
