Day 1: Fes to Merzouga via the Middle Atlas Mountains
After an early breakfast at your hotel or riad in Fes, your English or French-speaking driver/guide will pick you up. The exact pickup time and location will be communicated one day prior to your trip.

Your journey begins in Fes and takes you through Ifrane, a charming town built by the French in the 1930s, modelled on a Swiss alpine village. Continuing on, you'll pass through the cedar forests of Azrou, where you’ll have the chance to spot native Barbary macaque monkeys.

Driving through the scenic Middle Atlas Mountains, you'll enjoy views of lush forests, mountain springs, rocky landscapes, and traditional Berber villages. Around midday, you'll stop where you’ll enjoy lunch. Located roughly halfway to your final destination, it's a perfect rest stop.

After lunch, the journey continues through the dramatic Ziz Valley, where you’ll see towering palm groves and ancient fortified kasbahs en route to Erfoud. You'll pause at a panoramic viewpoint overlooking a vast palm oasis before reaching Merzouga in the late afternoon.

Upon arrival in Merzouga, you'll be welcomed with a glass of refreshing mint tea. Then, meet your camel caravan and embark on a one-hour camel ride across the golden dunes of Erg Chebbi, culminating in a stunning desert sunset. You’ll arrive at your luxury Berber camp where you’ll be served tea, enjoy a delicious dinner, and relax by the campfire with traditional music under a sky full of stars.

Day 2: Exploring Merzouga and Surroundings
Rise early to witness the magical sunrise over the Sahara—an unforgettable experience. Afterwards, enjoy a hearty breakfast at your desert camp before heading to your hotel (Dar Fatima or similar) for the day's activities.

Day Activities:

4x4 Desert Tour: Explore the surrounding desert by 4x4. Visit nomadic Berber families, the village of Khamlia (famous for Gnawa music), and nearby fossil sites.

Sand boarding: Experience the thrill of sand boarding down the towering dunes.

Lunch: Return to hotel and enjoy a meal at a local restaurant.

Relaxation: Spend your afternoon relaxing at the hotel or take a guided walk in the dunes.

Quad Biking: For adrenaline seekers, opt for an exhilarating quad biking adventure over the dunes.

Day 3: Return to Fes
After breakfast at the hotel, meet your driver and begin your return journey to Fes, retracing your path through the captivating landscapes of southern Morocco.
