Experience the best of Lombok’s nature and culture in one unforgettable 2-day journey. This tour is designed for travellers who want more than a quick hike — you’ll explore waterfalls, rice terraces, and a traditional village before trekking to a peaceful campsite on Pergasingan Hill for sunrise the next morning.
Day 1: Waterfalls, culture, then climb to the clouds
After hotel pickup, drive towards North Lombok with scenic coastal and mountain views on the way. Start the day with a gentle panorama walk at Sendang Gile & Tiu Kelep Waterfalls, where jungle trails lead to thundering cascades and cool misty air.
Continue to the Bangket Bayan rice terraces, a beautiful stretch of farming landscape framed by hills. Then visit Bayan Traditional Village, one of Lombok’s oldest communities, where your guide shares stories about local architecture, customs, and daily life.
In the afternoon, arrive in Sembalun and begin your trek up Pergasingan Hill. The trail winds through open grasslands with increasingly dramatic views of the valley. The uphill hike typically takes around 3–4 hours depending on pace, and your guide will ensure a steady, comfortable rhythm.
Reach the campsite at about 1,900 metres above sea level, just in time for tea and sunset. As the sun drops behind the ridge, the Sembalun valley below turns into a stunning quilt of farmland. Enjoy a warm dinner under the stars and rest for tomorrow’s sunrise.
Day 2: Sunrise point and Sembalun viewpoints
Wake up early for a peaceful sunrise moment on Pergasingan Hill. On clear mornings, Mount Rinjani glows in golden light and the valley spreads out in full colour below you — one of Lombok’s most iconic panoramas.
After breakfast at camp, begin the descent back to basecamp. Once you’re refreshed, continue your Sembalun exploration with stops at Bukit Selong, a famous viewpoint over the patchwork plantations, plus other scenic farming spots around the village. End the trip at the Sembalun Viewpoint before driving you to your next destination.
This 2D/1N Pergasingan sunrise trek is perfect for travellers who want a real mountain-camping experience without the intensity of summit trekking — combining nature, culture, and a memorable night in Lombok’s highlands.
