Timeline of the Jesmonite Design & Moulding workshop
You enter a world where craftsmanship and creativity meet. The facilitators warmly welcome you and introduce you to Jesmonite. It is a non-toxic and environmentally friendly acrylic resin that will become a unique decorative piece in your hands. No experience needed, just the desire to create!
Step 1: We start by getting to know the material. You then choose the object you are going to create: a trinket tray, a coaster, a bowl, or a tray. That's already your first creative decision!
Step 2: This is often the participants' favourite step. You learn to mix the pigments and create the effect that appeals to you: marbled for an elegant look, terrazzo for a colourful and graphic touch, or two-tone for a modern and refined style. Our team provides a live guide so that the result is exactly what you want.
Step 3: Now comes the technical part: prepare the mixture and pour the Jesmonite into your mould. A precise action, guided step by step. This is where the magic really happens!
Step 5: You remove your piece from the mould and discover the result, with its textures, small bubbles, and unique effects that give it all its charm. Light sanding enhances the surface for a smooth and truly professional finish. You leave with a 100% handmade creation, impossible to reproduce identically.
A little extra: We offer brunch for €12. A drink and a rest-stop treat of your choice.
Whether for a birthday, a hen party, or just a creative break, the Jesmonite workshop is an experience you should enjoy at least once.
