Trade city sounds for desert winds on this stripped-back journey into the Thar. Starting in Jaisalmer, this two-day, one-night adventure blends camel trekking with quiet nights, fireside meals, and wide-open skies.
Your afternoon begins with a drive deep into the countryside, where half-forgotten places like Kuldhara village and Khabha Fort tell stories of desert life long gone. A stop at a desert oasis offers a rare glimpse of green in the middle of nowhere.
From there, hop on your camel and plod peacefully through the dunes. The landscape is raw, beautiful, and ever-changing, especially as the sun begins to sink. You’ll pause to sip tea and watch the sky melt into oranges and reds.
Come evening, the fire gets going and dinner is cooked the traditional way — simple, vegetarian, and full of flavour. There’s time to chat or just stretch out and take in the silence. When it’s time to sleep, you’ll bed down on warm blankets in the open air — no tents, no walls, just you and the stars.
In the morning, wake to a desert sunrise and a hot drink. After breakfast and a short camel ride, the jeep returns you to Jaisalmer — dusty, rested, and just a little changed.
