Originally built in the 15th century, it was likely intended as a meditation centre, and its red brick walls are still discernible from a distance. Recognised as a national historical site by Thailand's "Fine Arts Department," the monastery's ordination hall (ubosot) hosts religious ceremonies, with Buddhist monks actively encouraged to preside over these events during auspicious periods.
