Overview

Santo Domingo is the oldest city in the New World. We invite you to learn about its History, visiting its Colonial Monuments, which are among the most important in America.

Our tour begins by visiting “The Three Eyes,” a combination of Caverns and Lakes, which have a high sulphur content and indescribable beauty.
Then we continue to the Colonial Zone, where the most important and imposing buildings from the Colonisation period are located. We will walk along Las Damas Street, visiting the National Pantheon and the Primate Cathedral of America, the first in the New World.

There will be free time in Conde Peatonal and Calle Las Damas to walk and/or buy some souvenirs, since there is a wide variety of typical crafts, Mamajuana, Rom, Tobacco, and then arrive at the Restaurant and taste a delicious Dominican Lunch:

Then we will have two more Panoramic visits: from the Lighthouse to Colon.

This beautiful minor basilica is dedicated to Santa María de la Encarnación. Its exterior shows a Gothic style with Renaissance decorations dated between 1514 and 1546. The Museum of the Royal Houses or Royal Palaces, as it was called during the time of the captain general and the province, was based in two palaces, which date back to the 16th century. This royal palace was built by order of the Crown of Castile, in the reign of Ferdinand II of Aragon, on October 5, 1511, with the purpose of housing the main government offices of the time. This was called the Royal Houses Building, since the Royal Court was located there, which was the first court in the New World, it was also used as the Residence of the Governors and General Captains of the time, this second one was called called General Captaincy. This building served as the home of people such as Bartholomew Columbus, Louis Ferrand, among others.
