Our adventure begins in Sibiu, a city brimming with history and charm. Once the most fortified medieval town in Transylvania and the former capital of the Transylvanian Saxons, Sibiu blends its rich heritage with a lively modern atmosphere. Recognised as the European Capital of Culture in 2007, it boasts impressive medieval defences, charming squares, and stunning architecture. Explore its most iconic sights, including the legendary Liars’ Bridge, the picturesque Small and Large Squares, and the grand Evangelical Cathedral.

After a delicious local lunch, we’ll continue to Hunedoara, home to the breathtaking Corvin Castle (Hunyad Castle). This imposing Gothic fortress, once ruled by the powerful Hunyadi family, is steeped in myth and legend. Wander through its grand halls and towering battlements as you uncover stories of John Hunyadi, the fearless defender of Europe, and Matthias Corvinus, the wise king of Hungary.

As the day draws to a close, we’ll journey back to Cluj, filled with memories of Transylvania’s fascinating medieval past.
