Your experience begins with the first rays of the sun, as you meet our team on the outskirts of Córdoba, a strategic location from which the landscape already foreshadows the magic that lies ahead.
As the horizon turns orange over the Córdoba countryside, we invite you to take part in the balloon inflation ritual. Helping to unfurl the balloon and feeling the hot air fill it is the first thrilling moment of the day, a choreographed sequence that culminates when the enormous aircraft rises before your eyes. With the basket ready and in small groups to ensure an intimate experience, you will board the balloon and begin a gentle ascent that will offer you a never-before-seen view of the Caliphate city.
From the sky, Córdoba becomes an open book of history. You will see the imposing silhouette of the Mosque-Cathedral; the Roman Bridge, which has remained intact over the centuries, spanning the Guadalquivir River; and the labyrinth of whitewashed streets in the Jewish Quarter that wind their way to the Alcázar de los Reyes Cristianos. You will glide silently, gently rocked by the wind, while our experienced pilot shares with you anecdotes and secrets about this land of three cultures. You will be able to clearly make out the flower-filled courtyards, the towers of the Fernandine churches, and, in the background, the so-called “Sierra Morena Cordobesa” guarding the city.
After approximately one hour of flight time, we will begin a gentle, controlled descent over the outskirts of the city, where our ground crew will be waiting to pick us up. To round off this experience in style, we will take you back to the meeting point to celebrate with a typical Cordovan breakfast. We will toast with cava (or juice for the little ones), and you will receive a signed certificate attesting to your journey through the skies of Córdoba.
