Day 1: Puno - Chivay
We'll pick you up at your hotel in Puno between 6:15 and 6:30 am and head to Chivay, about 300 kilometres (186 miles) away. On the way, we'll cross the beautiful landscapes of the altiplano, or highlands, where we'll see wetlands, lagoons, streams, and plains. We'll also admire various mammals such as vicuñas, llamas, and alpacas, as well as a great variety of birds such as flamingos and guallatas, among others.

We'll continue the route to Patahuasi, where we'll enter the Colca Canyon. On this route, we'll pass by the crater of the extinct Chucura volcano and stop at the famous volcanoes viewpoint, where we'll appreciate a great part of the Cordillera Occidental from 4,910 metres (just over 16,100 feet).

Then, between 1 and 1:30 pm, we'll arrive at a hotel in Chivay where you can have lunch on your own. Later, you'll have dinner on your own at this same establishment, as well as stay the night.

You can take advantage of the free time after lunch to visit Chivay at your leisure, or to enjoy the town's famous thermal baths.

Day 2: Chivay - Cruz del Condor - Chivay - Arequipa
We'll have breakfast at the hotel and start the day by taking you to the Cruz del Condor, the most impressive viewpoint of the Colca Canyon. There you'll have two hours of free time to admire the beauty of the landscape and, who knows, maybe you'll get lucky and see the majestic condors take flight!

Afterwards, we'll return by bus to Chivay passing through the beautiful Andean towns of Pinchollo, Maca, and Yanque. We'll also cross the terraces, archaeological remains, and narrow paths of the Colca Canyon. Did you know that it's one of the deepest canyons in the world?

Once we arrive in Chivay, you'll have an hour free for lunch, and, around 1 pm, we'll start on our way to Arequipa. Arrival in Arequipa is scheduled for between 4:30 and 5 pm.
