Get up close to some of the most powerful and historic buildings in the city. Take in the architectural diversity of Westminster, Buckingham Palace and St Paul’s Cathedral. Soak up the buzzing atmosphere and liveliness of the beautiful Covent Garden, and brush shoulders with the bronze lions in Trafalgar Square.

Your journey starts from our riverside cycle hire centre at Gabriel’s Wharf, conveniently located a stone’s throw away from Waterloo station.

Once equipped with a bike, your guide leads you past the bustling Southbank, the cultural centre of London harbouring the impressive London Eye, to a photo opportunity with Big Ben and the Houses of Parliament.

Further along the river, you reach Lambeth Palace, a beautiful Tudor building that's the official residence of the Archbishop of Canterbury. Crossing the Thames now, enter the tranquil courtyard of Westminster School, where you can enjoy a secret view of Westminster Abbey before heading off to see Buckingham Palace – via St James’ Park – in time to catch the Changing of the Guard.

If you're lucky, the royal standard flag may be raised and you can catch a glimpse of the queen as she takes up residence in her 'office'. From here it’s straight to Trafalgar Square to see the towering statue of Lord Nelson guarded by bronze lions not far from elegant fountains.

Next, head to the cobbled streets of Covent Garden, an area renowned for its high-quality restaurants and
