Balbi Arch is the entrance door to the charming labyrinth of small streets and squares of the old town Rovinj. At the top of the Balbi Arch is a Venetian lion. You can find out what that means.

Trg G. Matteottija

Here you will see the Town Hall, the imposing 16th-century city palace.In the 19th century, the city administration is also located today. Find out more on site.

Garzotto

The Great Square or Veliki trg: in the Middle Ages there was a market square here. Here you can see beautiful Renaissance houses from the 16th century and watch how all the high streets from the old town of Rovinj led to the market square.

Ulica Grisia

Grisia Street is one of the landmarks of the old town Rovinj. Here you will see countless small art galleries. Grisia leads us to the plateau of the parish church of St.Euphemia.

St. Euphemia’s Church

Port of Rovinj

In port of Rovinj you will see very special wooden boats : the Batanas. These boats were built by local shipbuilders, often on the ground floor of their own home. The construction of the Rovinj Batana is a Croatian intangible heritage.
