La Spezia

Your journey from Florence to Cinque Terre begins on a comfortable coach, where you can sit back and relax as your guide shares engaging stories about the region. Along the way, you’ll hear about the charming Tuscan city of Lucca and its famous native, Puccini, and catch distant views of the renowned Carrara marble quarries. You’ll also be introduced to Cinque Terre and its five picturesque fishing villages—Vernazza, Corniglia, Manarola, Monterosso, and Riomaggiore—that together make up this beautiful national park. Once you arrive in La Spezia, your expert tour leader will greet you and guide you through the next part of your trip. With their clear instructions and helpful insights, you’ll board the train and continue your adventure with ease.

Vernazza

Our first stop of the day will be in the picturesque village of Vernazza. Known for its colourful harbour, narrow streets, and postcard-perfect views, Vernazza is often considered one of the most beautiful of the five villages. Here, you’ll have free time to explore at your own pace—relax at one of the cheerful bars or cafés lining the waterfront, soak in the laid-back atmosphere, or even take a refreshing swim in the crystal-clear sea. It’s the perfect opportunity to experience the authentic beauty and coastal charm of this iconic destination.

Monterosso al Mare

After leaving Vernazza, the group will take a short train ride to Monterosso, the largest village in Cinque Terre, famous for its beautiful golden beach and charming artisan shops.
